As I understand it, ZIP file have .zip tacked onto the end of the
filename.  You have downloaded a compressed tar archive.  I would be
surprised if there was a zip archive of the Interchange installation.

Move the file onto a UNIX/Linux box and type "tar xvzf filename"
and that will uncompress and unpack it for you.
