[ic] a search box instead of text link

Im having problems converting a href search into a search box.

the following works just fine

and the following seems to not work correctly

  <input type="hidden" name="mv_search_field" value="us">

  <input type="submit" value="search">
</form>

it seems to be going to the right search_page
but "No Match" is displayed,
What am I missing?

How can I find the righteous and meaningful path in life?
