There is the user that runs the interchange daemon. In the
Admin->Administration page, it has a line:
Interchange SUID User ic3 (uid 504)
When you log in as that user, the first directory that you end up in (or
after you do "cd ~") is the HOME directory of your interchange user
(e.g. /home/interch). This is the directory that needs the .gnupg. If
you are in a hosting environment, you may not have access to that
directory, which may require some support on their part. Have fun!
