[ic] How to clean interchange off and reinstall

How can I get rid of interchange so I can do a clean reinstall?

I've fubar'd it several times trying to get it set up and had trash all over
the place so I tried to clean it off and start clean again, but after
getting rid of everything that was called interchange on the drive when I
try to run the rpm's (or the tarball) I get a message saying it's already
installed and it won't go any farther, so I must have missed a config file
somewhere.

Any idea what I missed???
