[ic] IC and search engines

I'm sure many of you know that most search engines will not spider sites 
that have ?'s in the URL.  Has anyone tried implementing a setup where 
IC will not assign a unique id until the first item is  placed in the 
cart?  Or any other methods of getting rid of the ? in the URL.

BTW, this would also be handy for search engines like google who will 
spider sites with ?'s but it caused the problem of everyone entering 
your site from google with have the same ID.

Anyway, any thoughts would be appreciated.
