[ic] is merchant suppose to get email?

Hi all,

Is the merchant suppose to recieve a email that an order was made?
I've went and installed gpg to encrypted my credit card number that would
be sent by email but I am not getting any.  I've checked the error.log 
files and the gpg works as the report is encrypted.  I've checked that
my email going to order_fullfillment@mysite.com works.  I, the customer
is also getting an email when I place an order.

Can someone push me in the right direction to turn on the right buttons?
