[ic] brackets inside brackets

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to display a variable from a submitted cgi form that is
named as <integer>-desc (ie, "1-desc"). I have [seti] counter running
and i'm trying to print the result like this:

[cgi "[scratch counter]-desc"]

what am i doing wrong, and how exactly am i supposed to refer to
a variable like that inside another set of brackets?
