Thanks for the pointer Fred....

Unfortunately, tho...  I do have the shipping.asc file:

/home/sam/catalogs/sam/products/shipping.asc
/usr/local/interchange/foundation/products/shipping.asc

And it looks Ok to me.

Checked ups_query.tag too.  Except for two lines that appear to be 
debugging echos (calling...  and received back....) this file looks OK 
too.

I just remembered another clue to the hanging form...  There was an entry 
in the errors log about missing GPG.  The install docs state that GPG is 
optional, perhaps this is a required component now...  I don't have GPG 
configured.
