Actually, pretty straight forward.  Once you install, then run the 
makecat script and it goes through it step by step.  Make sure you know 
the simple things in life: your user name, password, host - if your 
mysql database is on another box, and what you want to call the crazy 
thing and life should go pretty smooth.

*Note:  only the database is created with the makecat script. You won't 
notice the tables and sample data being placed into the database until 
you start up your catalog the first time.
