there are a couple of differences:

type=list, but this is the default..

use of [list] tags, which I suspect is the _real_ reason - I still use the
[sql query=] format, which doesnt seem to need these (but doesn't allow
[no_match] etc.


So, I recon that:

<p>Testing sql query<br>
[query sql="select * from products"]
[list]
Result: [sql-code]<br>
[/list]
[/query]

should work..
