[ic] PGP setup problems

Good day all,
I am having trouble setting up pgp on Interchange version 4.6.5. Redhat 7
I downloaded the free pgp from pgpi.com and can login as the 
user running interchange and encrypt a file after entering passphrase.

I have tried changing catalog.cfg Creditcardauto yes 
encryptprogram /usr/bin/pgp -feat admin@triparish.net and
encryptprogram /usr/bin/pgp -fat -r admin@triparish.net
but all this does is put garbage in front of the plain text 
creditcard info.  Do I need to configure something else?
