This is what I get when I run what you posted.

This is what it does not like

$transaction_hash = {
     hostname        => $hostname,	<--- This is line 18
     port            => $port,
     storename       => $storename,
     keyfile         => $keyfile,
     orderID         => '',
     result          => $transactionresult,

So I would guess that it does not like the =>
