Thanks for the reply! Got it working. For the benefit of others, here's what I now have in my shipping.asc file for UPS ground:
upsg UPS Ground weight 0 0 e Nothing to ship! {'ui_ship_type' => "UPSI",'table' => "Ground",'zone' => "144",'ups' => "1",'adder' => '(@@TOTAL@@ * .25 ) + 3.00','geo' => "zip",}
upsg UPS Ground weight 0 150 u Ground [value name=zip filter=digits default=14624] {}
upsg UPS Ground weight 150 999999 e @@TOTAL@@ lbs too heavy for UPS {}
