Re: [mv] Interchange now a Red Hat product (DANGER WILL ROBINSON!)

Hummm....

I maybe the only one to see future problems with Interchange joining forces
inside of Red Hat...

Let me explain before I put on this fire proof suit 8^)...

Long ago, I looked at CCVS as the product I wanted to offer as an ISP for
my credit card connections. While I was looking at it, CCVS was under the
control of HKS (Hell's Kitchen Software). I enjoyed talking with Todd M. and
others on how to connect CCVS into Minivend 3.x (4 was not out, IC was not
even thought of at that time). CCVS could do what other Credit Card merchants
were afraid of... TALK directly to a Clearing houses computer!

As soon as HKS got taken over, I could no longer talk to Todd, or anyone
inside HKS. RedHat was not much help and they just said," Its a program,
you figure it out". Luckly, I DID figure it out, as I purchased CCVS based
on HKS's initial stories... But getting any assistance on how to connect
CCVS to a bank, Redhat didn't have a clue, nor would they give any!

Bottom line: I did get CCVS integrated very well into Minivend 4.04a. Its
working great today, I can run many clients via the connection and I beat
Cybercash's prices (In fact, with CCVS, I "AM" a cybercash, I have full
AVS and connections into the central Bank computers). But Redhat almost
destroyed this (I do like RedHat, its just my dealing with them on CCVS
showed that RedHat obtained a great product but didn't have clue as to
what it could/could not do). I pray this does not happen with Minivend/IC.

O.k., I'm putting on the fire suit... <grin>.

Run away.... Run Away....
