This statement stinks. But just maybe you shouldn't call it the PostgreSQL 
docs. They're here: http://www.postgresql.org/devel-corner/docs/index.html 
for version 7.1 which is maybe two weeks away. Support for outer joins and 
better function implmementation and UNION support.

MySQL people will tell you that you don't need them. Maybe you don't, but I 
do.
