[ic] interchange.cfg aimed primarily at Mike H.
interchange.cfg and .dist is the topic
I completely understand /usr/lib/blah/blah but do you see any reasonable
reason a person would should edit /etc/interchange.cfg?
Next on the list would be the .dist copies. I understand it's purpose
but the question remains. Any conceivable reason why a admin would need
to edit this file?
I intend on having the ability to create a cat from scratch which will
go in the root install dir. This would of course include a catalog.cfg
file. I know I need to be able to read and write to interchange.cfg
(/usr/lib version).
At this point I seen no real reason for the ability to manually edit the
interchange.cfg file. Thoughts?
I am locating all interchange.cfg files and using the catalog info
inside to create the left area of the GUI (naturally after you tell the
app which one to use) I also am fully aware of other path potentials.
/usr/lib was just an example.
Any of the more advanced admins are more than welcome to submit feed on
this one. I am still hoping there is a logical grouping to the tags so
that I can logically color highlight :)
Thanks,
Steve
