Chris,
by the way, [if ..] statements also use up a lot of processing power! If
your db grows, that may become a concern at one point (obviously not
with 20 items!).
You could run a simple perl program to clear out empty lines before
letting the db go online or use MiniMate to edit, add and delete items
from the db.
