permissions

Hi all,

I use a notebook asus7400 300/128 4GB suse 6.2.
first, is it wise to run and test minivend on a notebook or should I start on my webserver ?
My problem is uid, umask
I try to install minivend as a user "mvuser" but I had problems with the permissions rw
therefore I install as a root, catalogs simple with owner "mvuser" on /mvend and the catalog on
/home/mvuser/catalogs/simple - it works.
After playing a little around with simple, I try to install a catalog for a new user
I run makecat newuser and everything works (no error)
If I run now mycomputer/newuser, the first page appears but if I click on -Enter the shop-
I get: Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
When I run with the same user –simple- it works.

My question: what uid and permissions should have ?
The user who install minivend
The owner of the catalogs
The owner of a new catalog
The user who runs minivend on the notebook – otheruser-
Please answer to my email adr. Because I don’t know if my subscibtion is registered.
Try to subscribe again when I'm in my office.
