Hello listies -
I would like to try something that may not be possible without some serious
source code mods - in which case I would probably default to a "plan b".
I would like to be able to produce a calculated price for a custom cut item
in a cart, based upon the formal qty * length * width. Another Minivend
user was quite helpful with a solution which allows the end user to type a
custom item attribute value into a text field; I can set up two of these
(one for length, one for width). The magic question is, how do I perform
the calculation using these two values and quantity to arrive at the final
price? I took a look at PriceAdjust and CommonAdjust - they both appear to
rely on values in database fields, whereas the "custom" attributes appear
to be stored only in "session" memory.
Has anyone solved this one before? I imagine that other users must need to
sell stuff by area or weight or some other non-widget value. Number lists
wont work in this case because length and width could each be any real
number.
Thanks in advance!
