[if-field Feldname]

Hi everybody!

I first thought it was a simple problem, but after talking to several
peoples, i havn't found an easy solution to find out if a string is
empty. 
I tried something like [if-field Feldname][/if] to display tables only,
if the values are defined. But that didn't work. 
Does someone have a simple solution for that?
