server not responding

My minivend server recently stopped working.  It has been working fine
for a while now, but all of a sudden it will not respond.  It is running
in unix mode on a Redhat linux 6.0 box, with plenty of memory.  When I
make an HTTP request, then telnet in and check the processes, there is a
new minivend process which is taking 99.9 percent of the CPU cycles, but
never gives a result.  The socket permissions are set at 666.  The
script doesn't even give an error message, but after 5 minutes apache
times out and gives an "Internal Server Error" message.  In the apache
error log it says premature end of script headers, and in the minivend
log it says nothing.  I have the expireall script running fine, too.

Any suggestions?
