Re: [mv] MiniMate edit DB problem

Racke -

There are no errors in any of the log files and I'm not viewing a cached
page...
I don't understand "tool to dumping gdbm databases".
(I'm not a particularly advanced user.)

Craig Oettle sent me the following and it works...
((It creates an extra step that I'd rather avoid,
   but for now, its a LIFE SAVER!))

Quoting Craig Oettle:
-------------------------------------------
Mikeh put a little code on the list for me because my products index
wasn't being updated. I created a page called
http://wwww.mydomain.com/cgi-bin/mycatalog/dataindex.html and I just
access that page after I make changes to the database. The page is
located under the /pages/ directory in my catalog, ie
//home/minivend/catalogs/mycatalog/pages/dataindex.html  Here's what's
on that page:

[index table=products
        extension=category
        spec="
                           rf=category,0
                   ra=yes
                   tf=category
             "
]

[index table=products
        extension=subcat
 spec="
                    rf=subcat,0
     ra=yes
     tf=subcat
            "
]

This is placed on a regular catalog page inside the
<BODY>.........</BODY> tags. It reindexes the products table. It
solved my problems, hope you can use it.
