Try as I might, I am unable to find any reference in the docs that states
that SSL is required for CC transactions. Supported, reccomended, easy to
use, yes- required, no.
Can anyone confirm or deny? Will Minivend simply fail to pass cc data to
CyberCash without an error message if the checkout page is not secure?
For form's sake (and to avoid the bottom spanking) I should point out that
I have no intention of operating a site without ssl for credit cards; I
just don't want to pay my ISP for ssl access until I can open the store
and start making money back.
TIA,
Pat
