Those are system permission issues relating to the userid 
you are trying to use to run minivend.  Or perhaps you have
non default PATH and it is set wrong.  shell-init error
means you are "su"ing to userid that does not have permission
to be where it is started.  Are you sure /root/bashrc is
not /root/.bashrc?  Permission denied there is a good thing.
