I want to thank all posters to the list for cutting down the HTML postings
and "vcards". I have a program which sends out automated reminders,
and HTML postings are few and far between at this point.

If you think it makes no difference, try this little analysis
based on everyone sending HTML messages:

     Message in text:          2,000 bytes
	 Message in HTML:          4,200 bytes
	 Difference:               2,200 bytes
	 Sendmail xmissions
	 for one list message:       690
	 Extra bandwith:       1,518,000 bytes
     List messages/year:     ~10,000
     Extra bandwidth/year:    14,476 megabytes

And that is just one list of 720 users. If everyone sent
HTML mail, the Internet would be more crowded than it is.
(If you think it makes no difference, try getting a packet
from Santa Clara CA to Chicago about 3pm on a Wednesday
afternoon.)
