Problems Calculating Shipping On Multiple Items

Hello Minivend people,

I hope one of you may have run into this before and would be willing to lend
a hand.

For the most part, our store is doing well. We have had quiet a few orders
and things were fine until we received our first multi-item order. The
shipping price calculated by the store was incorrect. We discovered that
this is caused by the way Minivend takes the two (or more) items, adds their
weights and then calculates shipping based on this value.

This may be fine for small items that can fit into a single box, but how can
we change Minivend so that it calculates shipping on each item then adds
these amounts together for the shipping price?

Each of our items are 20 lbs. and must be shipped in their own box. We
thought of taping the boxes together, but found out that this exceeds the
UPS maximum box dimensions for the order's weight. As you may have guessed,
the amount to ship two boxes taped together was more than shipping them
separately. But shipping them separately costs more than Minivend is
charging. This is our problem.
