I've lost a few orders before because my report page was faulty. The
users got their receipt, but my report side was corrupt. Luckily, in my
receipt page I've added a [log] command to write the email address to a
file. This was preserved and I was able to contact each customer.
I think I've missed what the actual error was that you received - but
possibly this tip would atleast give you a small crutch in case of emergency.
