price adjustment

Hi all,

I am making catalog with shirts, and I need to calculate the price for
imprinting of initials.
Anyone knows how to make it with Price Adjustment?

I just need something like:

if modifier-initials is NOT "blank" add 3$


would be great if someone knows how to make calculation of price for
imprinted character.
for example: imprinting costs 1$ for character.
