Problems with locale (secure vs. unsecure)

Hello, MiniVendors !

I'm in the progress to i18n materialboerse (http://www.materialboerse.de/). 
Generally, it works fine. The problem occurs when switching from an unsecure
page to a secure page and vice versa. It seems that MiniVend retains two
different settings for locale. Switching the locale with 
page/process/locale/... in one area does not affect the other, as it should
be. The secure pages start with en_US as locale, the unsecure pages with
de_DE. This problem shows up with 3.12 and 3.15beta4 (both patched, but
unlikely to cause this behaviour).

Any hints ?
