Which file do you check for changes? If it happens to be userdb.asc, this
will only change if you export the user database. The file that should
change is userdb.db or userdb.gdbm, depending on the database format you
use.
The following minivend tag will export the user database to userdb.asc:
[tag export userdb][/tag]
An explanation can be found in the docs.
You could put this on some catalog admin page, or initiate the export after
a new account has been created, or after login...
