I have two links on my web page which correspond to categories defined in
my product.asc file.  My goal is that when clicked each link should
display all the items under that specific category only.  It tried the
following which i got from the minivend simple demo:

<a HREF="[area scan di=category df=yes dl=my_category]">my_category</a>

and also

<a HREF="[area scan di=category df=yes dl=[loop-filed category]">my_category</a>

where my_category is the name of the defined category in product.asc and
also the name of my link.

when i test this, mv comes back and displays the entiere product database.
I looked in my results.html, it is identical to the one in the simple
demo which works fine but for somereason mine does not do the job.

Could this be a problem with my product.asc file itself? 


My second question is a follow:

When i browse through my product.asc file, the first item is always
ignored.  If i add an empty line at the bottom of the file then the first
item gets displayed normally.  With that empty line, when i browse by
category or so the result.html page interprets that empty line and you see
a product with price =$0.00 and no image displayed.
