I don't think it is based on apache at all. Apache uses fork when new
connections come in, whereas zues handles it internally. IN
terms of performance and memory usage, zeus leads apache a long
way. Personally, I would use apache since it is open source and
very easy to set up, but if I am running a big company,
I would then use zeus...

Certainly zeus can do this. Maybe my original post is a bit
misleading. It is just that we are hosting a couple of hundreds of
web servers, and changing things like this would make it harder
for us to maintain security stuff and so on...
I was just wondering if minivend has the capability to do it. If
not, then I will have to change the webserver's settings.

It can do everything apache can and a lot more. It also have a
very nice web interface for admin. You can do things like restart
a virtual web server without restart the whole process.
I had similar view with you before, and I have argued this with
my boss coz I insisted open source is the best. After I use
zeus, I then realised this is just not true in the real world.
