Hi Holm,
I had some situation.
But I didn't have success with ImageAliase.
I'd set a symbolic link of my public image directory to catalog image
directory.
For instance: ln -s /usr/www/cars/images
/home/mvend/catalogs/cars/images
You should to have a world read permission and group or user write
permissions
for the user who run of MV.
That's it.
Just in case, as far as I understand the catalog's directory need to be
installed
to other then public www directory as you see above.
