Another question

I'm noticing that my product pages are coming up very slowly.  I'm using [loop search="se=crystal/sf=category"] 
to make my pages (client wants a few pages with one category per page) and it's taking up to 40 seconds for the 
server to spit the page back at me.  Is there a different way to page through the database that might speed this 
up a bit?
