I would not like it too much to tell the truth.
Posters could structure the current mailing list more efficiently
in writing up better subject-lines, like [MV-set-up], [minimate], [catalog
configuration], [tags], [documentation], [source code] etc. Chances to get
answers on ONE list are higher than they are if the list is splitted.
After a while people decide and read only one of several lists (see the
perl lists where certainly more than one is needed, but not too many
either). Newcomers get a better idea what they are dealing with, if
they can read through the whole spectrum of questions and answers.
It might be helpful, may be, to post regularly a file with hints to the
FAQs, Documentation Project and may be to agreed upon subject line markers
like the ones mentioned above.

I like the ONE digest for everything. I even think it is sad to have
MiniMate separated from MiniVend for documentation purposes, it is a mate
for a reason. 8-) Luckily Stefan Hornburg is answering all the MiniMate
questions on this list and helps us out a lot.
Let's just stay together at ONE place. Feels more like "home". 8-)

I think Mike Heins has so far donated space and bandwidth for this list,
if I am correct. I rather would like to support him for more space or
bandwidth, as long as he is willing to continue to take care of this
list. (what I certainly don't know, but I somehow silently hope).
I think this is a very fine list and I would regret to see it split
apart.
