[OT] Apache Problem

Hello,
I realize it is slightly off topic, but I know
there's someone on the list here who can
help me out. To spare OT clutter on the list,

Here is my problem:
In Apache running on redhat 5.2,
I seem to have reached my file handle
limit at 80 VirtualHosts. This causes
CGI's (like minivend) not to run properly.
This phenomenon is documented at the
Apache website.
Now, I know I can use the ulimit command
to remedy my problem. I simply
need to know the syntax I should use
to execute the command for httpd.
