You can do both, multiple catalogs per (virtual) site. In the catalog.cfg
you set the (possibly virtual) server and the cgi_url relative to that
servers http root (CGI_URL). In minivend.cfg you set the name of the
catalog, and the unix directory where the catalog is, plus the uri of the
catalog cgi (and possibly aliases to that catalog)

There is no reference to the virtual domain of the catalog in minivend.cfg,
this is in catalog.cfg. The only place where there is a full URL in
catalog.cfg is VendURL and SecureURL. These are the only variables that
will have "http:" in them. Usually they are constructed from other
variables as well.

You do not need more than one minivend installation per physical server.
