Hi, I'm cirious. I have a client who
wants to set up his own machine. We currently run minivend with a catalog
of 20,000 or so items through a hosting service, but he wants his database live
from his store and also wants to add everything in his store to the mix.
That will push the size of the catalog to over a half a million entries.
I need suggestions of ways to make this as fast as
possible. i.e., processor, ram, other options for the server.
OS??? Linux or NT??
Also how to improve the actual speed of minivend and the best
format for the database.
