problem with browse1 and basket continue shopping button

Hi,

I'm having the strangest problem with MV-3.14.  After I
have visited the browse1 page, if I go to the basket page 
and click on the "Continue shopping" button I get an 
"Internal Server error" page on my browser.  I get no
information in the mv error logs, and the web server (apache
1.3.x) error logs gives me: 

[Tue Jun 29 16:43:59 1999] [error] Premature end of script headers:
/usr/local/etc/httpd/cgi-bin/simple

This only happens if I have visited the browse1 page.  It
does not happen if I have not visited the browse1 page (ie:
ordering an item from the browse page, then clicking
"Continue shopping" works fine, going straight to the basket
page and clicking "Continue shopping" works fine, etc).

Has anyone seen anything like this?  If so, do you have a
fix or workaround (besides avoiding the browse1 page)?  If
not, does anyone have any good debugging ideas (ie: how to
capture the output that is generated after pressing the 
"Continue shopping" button)?

I'm working on a RH6.0/2.2.x system (with the latest patches)
with MV-3.14, perl version 5.005_03, and apache 1.3.x).
