RE: Silly Q 101, getting started
My tips for beginners who have simple running. Make a copy of the simple
directory in the catalogs directory called something like "test". Add a
second Catalog directive to minivend.cfg for the second catalog and
restart. Work on this test catalog. If you hopelessly break it, just copy
simple back over the top and restart.
Begin by making some changes to how the pages look. Then try tweaking a
search to show some different items. Then modify the results.html page.
Then make some careful changes to products.asc to see how it works. And
on, and on . . .
