Andres, I had MV running on a Linux box, 2.0.20, with only 16MB for a long time during my
early work and though it ran slow, I never had crashes, Linux is pretty solid.  What I
lacked in RAM, I made up for in SWAP space and though the machine wasn't a rocket, it
worked great until I had money to replace it...  Perhaps if you told us more about your
configuration?
