If you use PGP 5.0 encryption, like I do (with a 3172 or so bit key-pair)
there's no chance for the next couple of decades of pgp-encrypted cc-data to
get successfully decrypted by anyone but myself. So the actual encrypted
data can get stolen, but it would be totally useless for the hacker, unless
you'd be using some inferior type of encryption software.

With cc-auto on, the actual cc-number is wiped from memory as soon as it's
processed and then it's encrypted.

I bet it's quite safe.
