Does MiniVend keeps track of its inventory?

Hey, guys..
excuse me... i am new to MV.. but a question...
'cause i can't find answers anywhere else...

how does MiniVend keeps track of inventory?
does it subtract number of items customer buys from the corresponding
line in inventory.asc?
what happens when quantity becomes zero?
can customers back-order?
how does it look on their invoice?

and the last question...  how to display number of items you have in
stock in product flypage?
(what 's the field name for quantity?)
