AuthorizeNet/CyberCash Module Setup Problem

I installed the new minivend 3.12 and got it working.  I installed 
the AuthorizeNet perl module as well as the Net_SSLeay.pm-1.03 and 
openssl-0.9.1c modules which were needed to run CyberCash or 
AuthorizeNet.  (The newer version openssl-0.9.3beta2 would not 
compile right.)  Also, I just upgraded to perl5.005_03.

CyberCash (AuthorizeNet module) shows up when I start the mv server. 
When I submit an order to AuthorizeNet, it goes to the "Order Failed, 
We're sorry, but your order could not be processed at this time due 
to technical problems. Please print the order page and give us a 
call. We will follow up as soon as possible" error page.

I get various log errors:

but most of the the time I get no error at all in the catalog log and 
only restart data in the mvend log.  I tried turning on debugging, 
but it outputs nothing except when the server is restarted, then it 
shows that it is on.

I suspect that there is something directly with the interface to 
AuthorizeNet that is the problem hence no logs, etc.

Before I started interfacing/installing any of the above, I added the 
[set mv_put_session]Yes[/set] tag because the "Continue Shopping" 
button would end in error.  Otherwise, everything worked as default. 
(The simple catalog did not need this tag so I must have changed 
something related.)

Has anyone seen this problem or have any ideas about it?
