Docs for Admin pages.. ? if.?

Good day,

I noticed in the catalog.cfg that an AdminDatabase and AdminPage can be set..
I am simply looking for a way to do order lookups..and maybe later
controlling discounts on individual, or groups of items.... using the
"demo" config.. where are the docs on using/accessing/setting-up the admin
pages ?
