MiniMate
****** message to minivend-users from mikeh@minivend.com ******
MaxiVend has been renamed "MiniMate", and will be polished and maintained
by Stefan Hornburg, who will be familiar to readers of the list. It will
be released under the Gnu GPL as a companion piece to MiniVend. It is
anticipated that it will remain compatible with MiniVend 4 to a good
degree.
An initial release is tentatively scheduled for June 27,
and the probable feature list includes:
- Insert, update, delete of any record in an MV database table
- Form or spreadsheet-like edit interface
- Metadata allows certain fields/keys to be displayed
as a select box/radio box/textarea
- Add/delete fields from tables
- Stimulate indexing of tables
- Journal updates of tables
- Export of tables
- CGI upload of database source, pages, configurations
- Individual parameter setting of certain things in
the catalog.cfg file
- Catalog reconfiguration
