checkout problem

Hello,

I am having some problems with minivend;  I have checked the FAQ, and this
isn't mentioned there anywhere..

I have the demo running mostly smoothly, except when going to place the
order;  filling in the form and pressing "Place Order!" brings up an error
screen that says

   We need to have some fields entered to be able to process your order.
   Please go back and fill out the information. 
   Problem: 
   Error: zip=zip 

the zip code info is correct (pressing the "go back" link fills in the zip
text box correctly.) and the error message is different when needed text
fields are missed.

It seems like a bug somewhere, but I'm unable to find it (I'm pretty much a
beginner at perl..)  the minivend version I'm using is 3.12, and perl
version is 5.00502.. nothing shows up in the error.log
