Hello,

I am selling items with ISBN numbers (books, music, videos, software) on my
site.  I send the orders to different fulfilling houses where they reference
everything by the ISBN number.  (ISBN is my 'code' field)

When a product has different options, it has different ISBN numbers for each
option. A book with red, black, and blue binding has 3 different ISBN
numbers and the same price.  An album comes in Tape or CD format with
different ISBN's and different prices.

Ordering the different items is not a problem.  The problem is in searches.
A search for a book which has 3 separate entries for the different options
comes back with 3 results that are exactly the same, except the cover.  The
same problem happens to tapes/CD's.

The item-modifier isn't appropriate, because its not just a modifier, but a
completely different product to order.

I need the search results to only show one of a given title, and be able to
select which style of that product from the 'flypage'.
Any Ideas?

Is there a way to flag a product to NOT show up in the results list?  Then I
could setup a 'related products' style field in a 'master' product and
provide links on the flypage to the 'related' products...
