Cory,

You can find out the version of minivend you are using when you restart the server. It should say something like:

mvend/bin/restart
Sent TERM to server on PID 21235.
MiniVend server stopped.
MiniVend V3.12
Configuring catalog xxxxxxxxx...done
Configuring catalog xxxxx...done
MiniVend server started in INET and UNIX mode(s) (process id 21357)

Sorry I can't help you with your other error though...
