August,
For test purposes, and test purposes only, go to catalog.cfg and set the MV_CRYPT (close to what it is, I can't remember the exact variable name off the top of my head, but its at about line 60 or so) to 1. Then restart (not reload :-) ) minivend. This will import the userdb.asc without using encryption. If you can use your login's successfully then you know to figure out more about pgp, otherwise you're still looking.

OK, I just reinstalled MV 3.12, and rebuilt the simple catalog, only to discover that the login doesn't work on it either.
I am trying to do this using the in-memory database feature of minivend. Perhaps UserDB only functions correctly with DB_File or GDBM support? Has anyone had success using only the in-memory database?
